Easter Message
On this day, Holy Thursday we remember Jesus washed the feet of his disciples. In the time of Jesus, the washing of feet was a responsibility only for a servant, so it was shocking to the disciples when Jesus began to wash their feet. This demonstration of His great love and servant leadership is the example of how we should treat one another. In John 13:14, Jesus tells his disciples that this loving, servant attitude is expected of them as well. Today I invite each of us to ask ourselves, am I loving others the way Jesus loves me? Am I serving in the way that Jesus served?
For me, Good Friday is the day that reaches into the depths of my soul and invites me to question who I am and how I am authentically being the love of Christ. Sr Genny Ryan, who had a profound impact on my leadership style said to me many years age,
“Caz, don’t try to be like Christ, try to be Christ.”
A very tall order for someone like me and I suspect all of us. However, each year, at the veneration of the cross I am hearkened to these words, the intensity of ceremony we attend would have been insignificant in comparison to that of Jesus’ emotions. At the very least I can try to be Christ.
When we hear the words peace be with you, we are reminded that it is the peace of Christ that is being offered to us, and so I say to each of you “Peace be with you over this Easter Season.”

Stations of the Cross at Trinity
Year 5/6 led our school in the Stations of the Cross through prayer and reflection in the church today. Thank you 5/6 for preparing such a meaningful liturgy for us to reflect upon Holy Week.
The Stations of the Cross are a 14-step devotion commemorating Jesus’ last day on Earth as a man. The 14 devotions, or stations, focus on specific events of His last day, beginning with His condemnation. The stations are commonly used as a mini pilgrimage as the individual moves from station to station. At each station, the individual recalls and meditates on a specific event from Christ's last day. Specific prayers are recited, then the individual moves to the next station until all 14 are complete.

HOLY WEEK
Holy Thursday is the commemoration of the Last Supper of Jesus, when he established the sacrament of Holy Communion prior to his arrest and crucifixion.
Good Friday. Prior to death, Jesus spoke His last words, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"

Easter Sunday. He is Risen! Easter is the celebration of Christ's resurrection from the dead. It is celebrated on Sunday, and marks the end of Holy Week, the end of Lent, the last day of the Easter Triduum (Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday), and is the beginning of the Easter season of the liturgical year.

Easter Hat Parade
Wow, what impressive hats the students wore for their Easter Hat parade today. They all did an amazing job decorating them and it was lovely to see all our parents and grandparents come and watch them in their parade. It was great welcoming our little friends from Bunyip to our parade this year, where they got to enjoy a cup of milk and a little Easter treat!
Special thanks to our popular guest appearance - the Easter Bunny!!
