Good afternoon parents and carers,
Reflection for the week
This week a friend introduced me to a book.
She said, “Read it tonight.”
So, I did.
This is the book
and this is my reflection
Imagine our world if we all “loved one another as I have loved you.”
Thankyou friend.

I very grateful for the trust that is more and more evident as parents come and share with me their joys and concerns. Thankyou.
Thank you Miss Fitz
Thank you to Jess Fitzsimmons who has been filling in this term for Mr Niddrie while he's been on paternity leave. We have been so blessed to have Miss Fitz here and we wish her all the best as she ventures out to Lake Cargelligo for the remainder of this term. We hope to see you back at Trinity soon.
My door is always open for you.

Feast of St. Mary MacKillop – 8th August
The Feast Day of St. Mary MacKillop is held every August on the 8th. St. Mary MacKillop, also known as St. Mary of the Cross, was an Australian nun declared a saint by the Catholic Church. She was born in Melbourne, on January 15, 1842, as the eldest of eight children.
When Mary was 14, she started working as a clerk in Melbourne. To provide for her needy family, she took a job as governess at her aunt and uncle, Alexander and Margaret Cameron's property at Penola, South Australia in 1860. While there, Mary MacKillop was tasked with looking after their children and teaching them. Mary, determined to help the poor, included the other farm children on the Cameron estate in her care. Her work as a governess and with the children brought her into contact with Father Woods, the parish priest in the southeast.
This was the beginning of her dedication and devotion to her future vocation.
Mary MacKillop is recognised for her commitment to the poor, helping those who needed it the most in any way she could. Her influence in Australia has spread far and wide. https://www.catholic.org/saints/saint.php?saint_id=4958
St. Mary MacKillop Prayer
Ever-generous God,
You inspired St Mary MacKillop
to live her life faithful
to the Gospel of Jesus Christ
and constant in bringing hope
and encouragement
to those who were disheartened, lonely, or needy.
With confidence in your generous providence
and joining with St Mary MacKillop,
We ask that you grant our request….(name your request).
We ask that our faith and hope
be fired afresh by the Holy Spirit so that we too,
like Mary MacKillop, may live with courage,
trust, and openness.
Ever-generous God, hear our prayer.
We ask this through Jesus Christ.
Amen.

Thought of the Week
God bless,
Donna Wade
It is with a heavy heart that we have had to make the difficult decision to postpone the Wizard of Oz Musical date until Term 4. This has been a very difficult decision and, as all our community can appreciate, it has not been a decision made ‘lightly’. We have had news this week that the Mechanics Hall, under the restrictions of the 4 square metre rule, of which we MUST comply, simply will not allow enough families, friends and community members the opportunity to come along and experience the magnificence of our students and the hard work they have already put into the musical. The current climate and uncertainty have forced Trinity to make this decision. We fully understand there will be some disappointment, but we highlight the fact that the musical WILL go ahead, come ‘rain, hail or shine’ – just at a later date.
At this stage, it will be in Term 4 – Week 5.
We thank our Trinity community for your patience and understanding. Naturally, we all have the best interests of our children at heart.
Boorowa Carnival
The BOOROWA TOUCH/NETBALL CARNIVAL will be held on FRIDAY 15th OCTOBER 2021.
The ever-popular Boorowa Netball & Touch Carnival will be going ahead next term. An information note will be sent home with students on Monday.
Sport Updates
There has been much discussion around moving forward in sport around the current Covid climate. As a result of consultations and discussions with CE, a calendar of events proposed for Term 4 is in progress. I will add dates to the sport calendar for Term 4 as they become available.
Tennis Postponed
Unfortunately, I have had contact from the Harden Tennis Committee informing me that the Tennis Courts will not be available for operation in the next few weeks as they are behind in their expected opening dates. As a result of this, we have decided to hold our tennis unit over to next term. We apologise for any inconvenience. This term, staff and students will concentrate on Netball and Touch Football in preparation for the Boorowa Carnival next term.
